Alexander “Gino” Gaggino draws on the chaos of Gatsby’s parties, where rumors swirl louder than truths. His canvas features entangled masses and shifting figures, evoking Fitzgerald’s description of guests dancing “gracelessly” in circles and indulging in spectacle. Gino captures this frenzy of performance and facade, drawing on the metaphor of Gatsby’s home as a carefully constructed “nest” where the guests—like birds—arrive only to chatter, drink, and depart.
