Divine Feminine

In Divine Feminine, Matt Mele reverses Fitzgerald’s most iconic image: the green light, usually seen from Gatsby’s longing across the bay, here glows faintly through Daisy’s own interior world. The bedroom is cloaked in golden lamplight and heavy drapery, a space that is both safe and suffocating. By shifting the vantage point, Matt asks us to consider Daisy not as an object of pursuit, but as a woman defined by the walls around her—her emotions carefully guarded, her desires visible only in flickers of light.
