Paka Chizi presents a humanized portrait of the Cheshire Cat as the artist’s self-portrait. Falling dramatically from his chair, he embodies feline wit, wisdom, love, manipulation, and dominion. The Cat’s distinctive green hat, colorful clothing, and one shoeless foot signal him as an eccentric, someone who perhaps lives in defiance of structural norms but all the while possesses extraordinary wisdom and insight.
