Stephanie Rado Taormina (New York and Wyomissing, PA) explores the slow, sometimes uncertain process of recognizing a feeling as truth. Layers of dusty sage, oxblood, peach, and mauve accumulate across the canvas, revealing a painting built through intuition, reconsideration, and time. Echoing Austen’s gentle irony, the title asks whether reason is sometimes a language we use to justify what we already feel. Through expressive abstraction, Stephanie captures conviction not as a sudden revelation, but as something gradually earned.
